Scrum Master - Intermediate

Act as a servant leader and coach to Agile teams, promoting Agile principles, values, and best practices

Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies and ensure effective team participation and delivery

Support the team in achieving Sprint goals, maintaining velocity, and improving predictability

Identify, manage, and remove team impediments to ensure continuous progress

Protect the team from scope creep and uncontrolled changes in priorities

Collaborate with Project/Programme Managers to align delivery with broader programme timelines and frameworks

Support the Product Owner with backlog management, prioritisation, and refinement

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and high performance within the team

Promote collaboration, transparency, and strong team dynamics

Monitor team performance and provide insights through reporting and Agile metrics

Facilitate conflict resolution and escalate people-related issues where necessary

Ensure adherence to governance, frameworks, and standards set by the Project Delivery Centre (PDC)

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification (preferred)

Proven experience as a Scrum Master within an IT / software development environment

Solid understanding of Scrum framework, including all ceremonies, artefacts, and principles

Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement)

Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring Agile teams

Strong experience in removing impediments and managing team blockers

Exposure to DevOps practices and software development lifecycle

Experience working with tools such as JIRA and Confluence

Stakeholder engagement experience across business and technical teams

Experience in the insurance industry (advantageous)
