Technical Engineering Manager

As a Technical Engineering Manager at Peach Payments, you will collaboratively lead your team (pods) to ensure they meet their goals and maintain high technical standards. You will be accountable for the successful delivery of technology objectives and collaborate with various stakeholders to provide exemplary support to our merchants.

• Lead the pods to enhance their productivity and overall health.
• Own the delivery of product commitments and continuously seek improvements.
• Accountable for technical standards and direction of the team.
• Collaborate with the Tech Lead on architectural decisions.
• Advocate for technical debt prioritization.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor for merchants.
• Lead technical discussions and ensure team transparency with stakeholders.
• Engage directly in the software development lifecycle.
• Support roadmap planning with technical insights.
• Identify risks and develop contingencies.
• Mentor and upskill less-senior engineers.
• Own people management responsibilities within the pod.

• Strong technical expertise and experience as a Software Engineer.
• Demonstrated people management experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of the payments domain and transaction processes.
• Competency in agile methodologies, especially SCRUM.
• Familiarity with the company's tech stack (Python, Typescript, React, Node.js, etc.).
