Junior Data Analyst-1

Collect, analyse, report, and interpret data for use in the development of business strategies and tactics and in subsequent appraisal of results. OML Roles mapped to this profile are: People Data & Analytics Practitioner.

• Work independently to collate and analyze data using predetermined tools, methods, and formats to create standard insights and perform basic data manipulation and descriptive data analysis.
• Support interpretation of advanced analytics data, using specialized software tools and functionalities.
• Use problem-solving skills to improve data and analytics systems and platforms, contributing to the continuous improvement and refinement of data and analytics operations.
• Extract and combine data to generate standard reports to help answer business questions.
• Maintain a data recording process/system, performing functions such as data archiving and updating.
• Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
• Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant industry best practices and broaden individual skills through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

• NQF Level 7 - Degree, Advance Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate or equivalent.
