Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our team, supporting the successful delivery, coordination, and management of architectural and design initiatives within the organisation. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure projects are executed efficiently, aligned to brand standards, and meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze parts of the bid solicitation project requirements, and gather and assess information related to the feasibility of these requirements for the organization.
- Contribute to the planning, design, construction, testing, communication, evaluation, and implementation of architectural solutions.
- Contribute to and support feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective, and document findings.
- Provide professional advice relating to construction regulations and best practice with regard to the maintenance, alteration, and construction of buildings.
- Undertake building and technical surveys, with support and guidance from experienced surveyors, to determine the building condition and identify defects and associated risks.
- Help with building/construction activities by designing layouts and maps that reflect the property scope and the parameters of buildings/constructions.
- Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
- Produce and submit council plans to relevant authorities (90+ Retail store plans per year, 30+ Commercial office plans per year).
- Design and Facilitate Space planning layouts for Retail Banking Branches and Interior office fit outs.
- Ensure produced layouts comply with SANS & NBR regulations.
- Interpret headcount documentation and design briefs into accurate, functional designs.
- Measure accurately SAPOA measurements and conduct site surveys to issue and check measurements.
- Interact with internal project managers and Leasing/Legal teams.
- Maintain Revit Template design for various portfolios.
Requirements
- Matric.
- Registered with SACAP as Architectural Technologist (Professional).
- At least 2 years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist in retail Store or commercial office designs (Interiors).
- Retail Store Design Experience.
- Commercial Office interior Space Experience.
- SAPOA Measurement knowledge.
- SANS 10400 Regulations.
- Council submission experience.
- Some experience in Town planning laws advantageous.
- Computer proficient: Revit, Autocad, Indesign, Excel, MS Word, Adobe programs.
- Revit BIM and template building experience.
- Must have own transport.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
